Is CharlotteONE a Church Plant?

No. CharlotteONE is not a church plant or seeks to duplicate the various aspects of a local church. CharlotteONE seeks to work in concert with existing local churches in Charlotte to more effectively reach 20-30somethings for Christ and the local church through a collaborative outreach service.

What makes CharlotteONE NOT a Church?

CharlotteONE is established as a 501c3 non-profit organization and is not governed or structured like a New Testament church in that they do not have pastors, elders, overseers or deacons. How does CharlotteONE address the theological differences among local churches?

While CharlotteONE deeply values the rich traditions and denominational distinctions among the Body of Christ, we seek to facilitate collaboration among local churches around the historically accepted doctorial realities found within the ancient creeds (Apostles and Nicene) as well was a common faith in some doctrinal realities listed in our Statement of Beliefs.

How does CharlotteONE address the programmatic differences among local churches?

CharlotteONE is cognizant of the different expressions of Christian worship and preaching found within the body of Christ. Therefore, CharlotteONE seeks to facilitate and provide both in a manner that does not alienate or create confusion among the wider Christian community or those outside the Christian faith as set forth in 1 Corinthians 14.

Why do the local churches need a collaborative outreach to 20- 30somethings? Why not just let one particular church lead the way?

Given the fact that 20-30somethings represent the most unreached demographic in Charlotte, it became evident to local church leaders that the current state of ministry to 20-30somethings was inadequate to address the growing spiritual needs of this demographic. Therefore, this need is too great for one particular church to solve. By collaborating, local churches can provide a more effective outreach tool to reach 20's and 30's for Christ and the local church.
